Discharged Soldiers, From Deposit to First Home | MKOR
Support for Discharged Soldiers

From Your Personal Deposit -
To Your First Home.

The deposit you built during service can become part of the down payment on a home. MKOR checks your eligibility and builds the mortgage around it, from the first step to the key.

Your Deposit Is Money Toward a Home

On discharge you accrue a personal deposit from the Ministry of Defense. For the first 5 years after service it may be used for defined purposes, among them buying an apartment, a house or land to build on. In other words, the deposit can serve as part of your down payment - precisely the part that is hardest to assemble for a first home.

How MKOR Turns the Deposit Into a Home

  • Eligibility check and planning - how much deposit you accrued, and how to fold it correctly into your down payment.
  • Building the mortgage - a track mix that fits you, and negotiation with the leading banks.
  • Guidance to the key - from the search to the signature, one address accountable for the outcome.

What It Is Worth

Figures are correct as of May 2026 and are updated from time to time. The exact amount and eligibility are determined by the Department and Fund for Discharged Soldiers. The information here is not a substitute for checking with the official bodies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the deposit be used for a home?

Yes. For the first 5 years after service the deposit may be used, among other purposes, to buy an apartment, a house or land.

How much deposit am I owed?

It depends on the type and length of service. We will check the exact amount for you.

Is the deposit enough for a home?

It is usually part of the down payment, not all of it. We build the rest of the financing around it.

What if 5 years have passed?

After 5 years the deposit is released for any purpose, and it can still be used for a home.

What does the check cost?

The initial eligibility check is free of charge.
